One of the tuition free colleges in Europe is the University of Iceland. The University of Iceland also provides good study abroad opportunities for international students as they provide distance learning education and English programmes. How To Apply
Students at the University of Iceland do not pay tuition fees. However they are required to pay only an annual registration fee, ISK 75,000 as of the 2014-2015 academic year. Note that new students who enrol in the middle of the academic year (in January) are charged a reduced registration fee of ISK 55,000. Also, invalid or handicapped students are charged a reduced fee, ISK 55,000.

Requirements
– Students whose native language is not English, may need to proof their English proficiency. You can submit TOEFL or IELTS scores to proof this.

– Entrance examinations for Law, Medicine, Economics and Physiotheraphy are held in June.

– Interested applicants are required to attach their latest diploma/transcript, together with copy of their passport.

– For Non EEA/EFTA citizens, they are expected to pay E50 (ISK 8,000) for the handling and processing of their applications. Which can be paid by VISA, MasterCard or credit card. The deadline for international students other than exchange students to apply for both undergraduate and graduate studies is 1st February 2015 for the 2015-2016 academic year while students from Nordic countries may apply for undergraduate studies until 5th June.
